In this final work project the authors have researched, designed and produced a set of prototypes for a product family combining Ceramics and Willow. The products themselves are orientated towards the exterior garden environment as vessels for plants. Alternatively the pieces can be used inside the home as part of a table setting or as decorative objects for the interior. Prior to the commencement of the prototyping work, sample experiments were carried out to find the most suitable way of combining the constituent materials. The samples were then used as the basis of a consumer survey, yielding important information for the continuation of the design process up to completion. The resulting products consist of four different pieces, designed to stand together as an integrated product family or to be used separately as individual objects. A subnsequent survey was issued to retailers, with the intention of discovering what kind of features pertain to practical products; their presentation and saleability.
