Direction methods in weaving - critical incidents significance in learning skills

Intention of this scholarly thesis is to research how man can teach weaving by taking notice to critical incidents of techniques and controlling techniques. The function of this scholarly thesis is to find out that does the critical incidents have notable afford in learning skills.
One of intentions of author was to acquaint to herself and own way of teaching weaving. Forward of acquaint process author has recognized her own learning strategy and has put it into practice.
In scholarly thesis author has been examine different types of learning methods. Author has concluded that Kolb’s experiential learning’s circle is best method to design a weaving course. As a plan of the course author used her own experience of making tapestry and Kolb’s experiential learning’s circle to get a best possible results.
Research is consist of questionnaire, interviews and weaving classes. Author and Heli Nuutinen collected by questionnaire information from people who are interested of handwork. By questionnaire they wanted to find out what kind of learning experiences people have. People who answered to questionnaire were able to join in to a weaving course which was leaded by author and Heli Nuutinen.
Author used computer program called kyselijä which could be used to ask different type of questions about critical incidents of weaving that author had specified. There were seven persons in weaving course and their ages were from 50 to 80 years. All the members were ladies. Members of the course planned and created a furnishing fabric.
As a result of this research author concluded that critical incidents have a great influence to learning skills.
The most positive thing in research was that author noticed that there is no need to learn skills by imitation.
