The object of this final work study was to describe and document the process involved with both verbal and visual, self-created ideas. The materials consist of source books, the authors own history of creation, the flow of thoughts and sketches for painting. In addition the description and registration of observations as well as discussion with the material act as source of information and the books were used. The act of putting ones soul into a subject, previous experiences, intuition and my own thoughts also influenced the work. The purpose of the work was to progress creative thinking; entering into the mind and considering the questions toward the end of the project. The principle of work was to progress with the method of “let me consider this for myself”. During the work this process happened in the area of practice and the senses. The study intended to discover a new point of view through surprise and realization.
The values of ethics, taken from a variety of sources, led to a religious subject being chosen as the object of study. The process began in January of 2004 by defining the subject of study and getting acquainted with source books. The work was based on a previous knowledge of act (; the biblical tales). Firstly the work began by describing and registering the sketch for paintings and the ones own thoughts. The free flow of previous knowledge and the unconscious worked on the subject during the thought process. Putting ones soul into a subject; observation of the self and considering the driving forces of the creating process became important concerns. The thoughts that emerged from the visual and verbal aspect took time to consider beyond previous expectations. Indefiniteness, unexpectedness and ignorance required time and self-control. The process was finished in March of 2005. |
