In this final work project the author has studied industrial textiles from the point of view of quality development. The work is also concerned with the creation of the portfolio in the search for an effective way of representing the author’s knowledge. The result is the plan of a portfolio illustrating the authors’ expertise. The research has been undertaken in a number of ways, including working research, swot analysis and functional analysis. From the results of this research, the possibilities of using an industrial Punos-fabric became clear. In addition, the factors that effect industrial weaving have been investigated, as well as methods of gathering and handling information during the design process of the portfolio and how to record textile information onto material cards.
