The theme of the final project with thesis originated from a project from the autumn of 2007. It was about developing and designing an assistant mobility tool for visually impaired. The final project is a continuation to the earlier project. The objective of the final project was to get acquainted with senses and future technology in order to create a vision of the company’s future, its operational environment and products. Futurology is an interdisciplinary branch that helps to get information on the future, and also helps to get ready for it. In addition to data collection, alternative visions of the future were created. A scenario method was utilized for creating alternative visions of the future. Future product concepts are related to the scenarios: Concepts comprise information on the function of the future product, the technology used, and the target group.
