My final project work with thesis included both a practical work and a research. A blanket that comforts was made for the daughter of the author. The joy of practical work and practical work detaches from everyday routines was described by the author. The objective of the research was to examine if the blankets, which were made earlier, are magic or have a healing power. The owners of the blankets got the opportunity to tell in their own words how they have managed with their blankets. Another objective was to examine different kind of viewpoints of the objects and to clarify if, in addition to their functionality, other new meanings can be added to them. The author's professional skills and preparations for the future scenarios were discussed in the report. The stories told about the blankets made by the author, confirmes that simple thongs can also have many other meanings tahn everyday use. It is very rare that things have only one meaning. The significance and the feeling connected with the product must depend on the person who gave it, and on the situation or time when it was given or received.
