THE KAFETEMIA CAFETERIA
The Kafetemia is the cafeteria operating in conjunction with Kuopio Academy of Design. Both students and outsiders are welcome to use it.
The Kafetemia operates on the principle of serving good, traditional home cooking such as the Finns appreciate. Good home cooking uses local, organic ingredients and is as varied as possible. The daily lunch menu at the Kafetemia consists of soup, fish, meat and salad dishes. The lunch proper consists of a main dish, salad, bread, certain non-alcoholic beverages and dessert or coffee.
Clients can also buy food to take away. Fresh buns, cakes and pastries are also available daily in addition to sandwiches, etc. The cafeteria is open all year round, summer included.
Kafetemia catering
The Kafetemia also runs a catering service to order. Kuopio Academy of Design has a 153-seat auditorium equipped with modern technology suitable for seminars, conferences, client evenings, lecture days, etc. The Kafetemia staff will, to order, provide refreshments and meals for such events. Call the Academy exchange for bookings and quotations.
In addition to the auditorium, the Academy has facilities suitable for group work. The private Kafetemia dining room and the main dining hall are hired out in the evenings for meetings and the like. The catering staff are also available for family occasions.
