Information Service

The Information Service advises and assists Library clients with information retrieval and will on request conduct information and literature searches for students, staff and outside clients. Searches of the Library catalogues are made free of charge for Academy staff and students. Persons requesting a search should try to define the topic as closely or widely as possible, depending on the information requirement. A charge in accordance with the ongoing rates is made for searches of catalogues other than the Library’s own and searches for outsiders conducted by the Information Service.

The Library also provides instruction in use of the Library and information retrieval. New students are introduced to the Library’s own collections, information sources and databases, and to other search facilities. Guidance can if necessary be provided for others, too.
