This CD-ROM has been executed within the EU -project called "SME.net: Management Techniques and Resource Management", especially for Small and Medium Size Entrepreneurs".

The CD-ROM is based on theoretical and methodological foundations of the Science of Craft and Design, developed by professor Pirkko Anttila and it is especially applied for the practical professional use, suitable for small design enterprises, craftsmen and artists.

This CD-ROM is meant as a tool to be used in analysing phases in planning, developing and carrying out processes of craft and design, handicraft and visual communication. The material can be used also in the consultation of the different design activities, in a further training of designers and practitioners in the field in question, and for the use of independent studies.

It is supported by many examples of diploma works made by students of The Kuopio Academy of Design. Navigation maps are created to help the use.

GD Enterprise of European Comission has financed this project co-ordinated by Handwerkskammer Bildungszentrum Münster, Germany. Other participants are Verein Faktor 4+ Klagenfurt, Austria, ROC Oost-Nederland Hengelo, Nederland and EQT Euregio Qualifizierungs- und Technologieforum Ahaus, Germany.
