The DESIGN Kuopio Residency offers residency program for designers and artists. We offer workshops with equipments, a studio for research work and a private apartment. We appreciate that the designer in our residency would teach, give a public lecture and/or run a workshop beside their own design work. The amount of the work and payment are agreed separately with the designers. The designer has possibility to perform an exhibition in our gallery. The designers are offered new contacts to the local art field as well as to the local community.
The designers are given opportunities to take part in the activities of the different groups of Academies of Design by teaching, organizing workshops and exhibitions. During the residency period we hope that the designer or artist works with our different groups of Academies of Design.
