Two lighting design concepts have been developed. One (in-light) is an interior design,wall lamp; the other (bub-light) is a multifunctional night lamp for children and ‘little'students in general. The objective was to find out innovative utilizations of a not so common light technology called EL (Electro Luminescent) or the well-known LED. The winning points of these technologies are the low consumption of energy and the small need of space. The main point of the concept design was the creation of lighting products with soul and warmth that can establish a spiritual relation with the users. A scenario of the actual-imminent society has been developed and used together with a in-depth technical research for the idea generation. The design followed the new principle explained in the book Designing pleasurable products: an introduction to the new human factors, written by Patrick W. Jordan. (Ed.2000, London: Taylor & Francis) Both of my concepts use the EL technology. The main characteristic is interactivity.
