The aim of the final project work has been to realize Pore-textile exhibition to the Taitemia-gallery of Kuopio Design Academy. The exhibition consists of the author’s own textiles. The aim of the exhibition was to put forth her own professional knowledge as textile designer and exhibition designer. The author herself has designed and carried out the graphic outlook, marketing, financing and opening of the exhibition. The theme of the exhibition has been water. The theme is repeated in the exhibits as well as graphic image and name of the exhibition. For background information the author has done her practical work placement at the Kuopio Design Academy exhibition team, which has carried out, for example, Töitä ja Tekijöitä - summer exhibition to the Taitemia-gallery and Vaiheessa - exhibition to Verkaranta at Tampere. The author has participated in planning, marketing and building several exhibitions at The Kuopio Design Academy. Furthermore, she has done a survey of four other exhibitions. The author also uses as a source the survey she made for the Suomen Käsiteollisuuden Tutkimusseura about the Suomenlinnan Käsityökesä-exhibition. The report part of the final project work includes the survey made as well as the different phases in arranging an exhibition, that is, design, graphic design as well as financing, marketing, building and opening an exhibition. The author also carried out a survey in her own Pore-exhibition and the results are included in the final project work.
