The goal of this final project work was the design and realization of up-to-date presentation material from the viewpoint of a textile designer. The final project work uncovers the means and general outlines on how a textile designer could turn his or her own products into viable presentation material. The executive summary lists the objectives of the presentation material and the kind of demonstration tools that could be used for the presentation. The client had the will to modernize it's presentation materials; it had turned out conventional presentation materials were not necessarily interesting enough.In other words, the goal was to adapt and modernize the existing materials to meet the current demands. In the executive summary, the past and the future of the client were reviewed and thus a visionary basis for the work was created. The process began in spring 2002. The first order of business was to survey the client's wishes about the presentation material contents. This information was used to generate preliminary presentation content. The preliminary content was refined further into functional previews and presented to the client. Final candidates were picked from these previews and the final product started to take shape. As a result of this work, a multimedia presentation about the Textile Design Department was eventually completed, introducing the teachers and the functions of the facility. In addition, the presentation demonstrates the broad range of things covered by Textile Design and detailed photographs of previously finished products.
