The final project work is a wholeness of several parts, it includes the report as well as the microhistory with the pictures and appendix pages linked together. The wholeness is saved to a digital storage, which is possible to read with a computer.
The report is a description of the work, where the documents concerning crafts made by a family in Eurajoki are recorded on a digital format. It looks at the textilework made at Laurilas´house in Saari village during the time from about 1850 to 1950. The source and the starting point of the study are the old manuscripts which during four generations has been used as instructions for weaving textiles.
The purpose of the microhistory has been to study textiles, which have been handed down till today, weaves, materials, dyeing and weaving tools. It also considers point of views hich have been important in studying the weaving skills, in keeping up of them as well as in transferring the tradition to the next generation and in valueing the skill. The html-pages consist of study material pictures of textiles, weaves and some other documents. |
