Final project work is composed of building an exhibition, designing and making a set of Dress Sculptures as well as analysing the feedback received from the exhibition. The maker of the final project work studies feltmaking in the department of textile design, division of contemporary crafts. The author had felted a lot before she started studying at Kuopio Design Academy and feltmaking is a way of self-expression for her. The author has taken part in many projects and she has designed sets of hats and bags. In the report part of the final project work the author goes through her previous works and considers what she has learned. The starting point for the Dress Sculpture - works was an angel-like form and different stages in experiencing sorrow. The dresses of the sculptures are made of felt and in making wings the author has used a fiberpasting technigue which she has learned during the final project work. The dresses have been felted in the author's size. The Dress Sculptures as well as previous feltworks are included in the author's first own exhibition in cafeteria Burt`s Cafe in Kuopio. The exhibition includes the best examples of hats and bags made earlier as well as carpets and walltextiles made especially for the exhibition. The goal has been to make an uniform exhibition which would satisfy the author and her knowledge of style and quality developed over the years. In connection with the final project work the author has made a questionnaire, in which opinions about the exhibition are asked from the cafeteria's customers.
