The aim of this final project work was to design and make a knitwear collection for author´s own enterprise. The aim of this work was to produce that kind of product, wich are marketable. Knitwear had to be quick to make, of god quality and have its own character. This knitwear had to be suitable for serial production as well as be commercially profitable. A questioning about details in knitwear was carried out. The questioning was small-scale but still brought enough information. Some details were vote-puller and other gained equal amount of votes. This questioning was used as a guide-line for designing. The theme of the products became to be the Middle Ages and was realised through the choice of colours and patterns. The image of the Middle Ages was emphasised with brochures of the product. The name of collection became to be the Sun of the Middle Ages. During this final project work a straight sweater, sweater jacket, scarf and six different beanie hats were made. A lot of colour experiment were made for products of which the best were selected. The products are easy to alter to satisfy the needs of a customer. with the choice of colours and patterns. The beanie hat collection is very variable. Only a small chance is required and you can get many new models. Graphic material was designed for the products including a brochyre of the products, product information tags as well as business card. They convey the idea of quality products and guide the customers´image of the product into the right direction. The prize ot there products is on same level as other similar kind of products on the merket. These products are commercially profitable. Tha making process doesn´t take too much time and material cost is reasionable. Products are of good quality so they are ready for marketing.
