The purpose of final project work was to manufacture a decorativeproduct, based on a philosophy applicable to decoration. After familiarization the topic, the author chose Yin-Yang philosophy for base of design.The aim was to design and manufacture a product abiding this philosophy, maintaining still authorīs interpretation thru using strong colours and shapes typical to maker. The object was for design and manufacture bedspread by felting. Sized big, manufacturing the bedspread was a new challenge for the author as a felter. Author also wanted to dye herself the felting wools,thus getting richer and multinued coloration. Starting point of the final project work was to ponder author’s abilities as designer and manufacturer. At planning phase author analyzed schetches made, by shape- and colourlanguage typical to her and by Yin-Yang philosophy.Thru colouring- and felting experiments in schetching phase author manufactured bedspread mostly by handfelting but also using rolling technique. In authorīs opinion the finished product well exhibits from decorative point of view, the central ideas of Yin-Yang philosophy. Author reached goals set, and was satisfied with the result.
