This final project work describes the planning and completion project of a transparent weave ”Light Thriumphs” for Pertunmaa medical centre. The comleted piece of work is only one part of the planned project to make the medical Centre more pleasant. The basis for information search and process evaluation was the professional`s point of view as well as customer-, work- and make-oriented viewpoints. An allocated sum of money was given in the beginning this project to carry it out and attempt was made to make the right choices in order to stay within the budget limits. In the final project work the planning and completion stages from the beginning – the idea – to the completion and handling over of the textile to the Pertunmaa medical centre are described. The aim in the design of the transparent weave was not to examine its sructural charasteristics but to emphasize the study of composition and variations of translucence. Furthermore, the aim was to find a solution that suited the demands set by the author and the Pertunmaa medical centre. An attempt was made to gain the best possible technical quality. In the planning stage three different designs were developed which would be assessed by the project negotiation group and of which it would choose one. During the experimental stage an interesting technical solution was found which made it possible to gain a stereoscopic effect in the textile. In the final project work profitability is assessed with the help of estimayed work time used as well as cost estimate. In chapter nine of the work the weave is assessed taking the criteria set it in the different stages of the project into consideration. The project also included the design of another wall textile and seven table textiles as well as the arranging of exhibition space into the waiting room of the dental clinic.
