The author of the final project work has worked as a designer of Työtaito- project since summer 2000 as well as a project manager since March 1st, 2001. The crafts and arts organization of Central Finland maintains the project that continues till the end of year 2003. Therefore reflective self- evaluation is well-grounded. The purpose of the final project work is to obtain valuable perspective for the supervision and the evaluation of the project. Developing the project manager’s own work is essential in this final project work. It is necessary to get more information for improving the rate of employment of unemployed craftsmen. The aim is to get evaluation information that affects project actions and procedures of learning at work and, thus, improve the quality of learning at work among the employees. The project manager’s context as well as the functional learning environment are presented in the final project work. The methods of information acquisition are literature survey, questionnaire studies and the project manager’s empirical know-how. The questionnaire is carried out by using the Delphi-method in three parts. The time period to carry out the questionnaire survey is from February 2002 to April 2002. Both employees and supervisors participated in the survey are able to influence e.g. the project’s organization and contents. They can also affect the learning at work arrangements of their own and of the future employees. The actions based on the evaluation information gathered in this final project work, by using investigative action principle, can be implemented during and after the final project work. The effects of the final project work can be seen in practise in commitment, co- operation, learning at work, and professional development. Although the final project is a short period of the project and concentrates on one project topic, the results are remarkable for the project and the employees of the project.
