This work is an activity analysis whose purpose was to find out whether our preliminary curriculum is equivalent with what is expected from the future employees in the sawmill industry and how the curriculum is to be changed in order to make it equivalent with the needs of the sawmill industry in North-East Ostrobotnia and Oulu region. The curriculum was evaluated by four enterprises. The evaluation talks were constructive and giving. The results of these talks were as expected, but on the other hand surprising. The study unit CNC Automation was changed into Computers and Control Systems. I have had reflective discussions about the preliminary curriculum with a teacher colleague of mine, Mr Pekka Lampela. My work proceeded to evaluating the curriculum in different enterprises, making conclusions and changing the curriculum. The preliminary curriculum will be changed. After this research I will start making the final curriculum for sawmill industry which is not seen in this research.
